4 Responses to UGC Readers & Professors Pay Scale Revised
If a lecturer was gaiven promotion as Merit promotion Reader in 1991, when will he be eligible for Professor's promotion under 1996 CAS? Will his service as Reader be counted only from 1.1.1996 and thus he loses 5 years of seniority? Will this situation be rectified in the new 2006 Pay revision? Please wake up and let us discuss. Let us represent our case before it is too late. Even if we have lost the 5 or less or more years then, our service as MPS Reader must be counted for the Senior Professor's scale.
I and all other 30 erstwhile MPS Readers of BHU agree with Pramila. The entire period of service as Reader (including MPS Readership) should be counted for deciding the date of elegibility for promotion to the post of Professor.
I have written regarding this to K. C. Pathk, Secretary to 6th UGC PRC but do not know where it will receive due attention or not.
