RBI Credit Policy at rbi.org.in Repo Rate Cut by 25

Reserve Bank of India(RBI) has announced its credit policy for the fiscal year 2009-10. Credit policy is the estimation of the overall economic growth and various other sectorial growth for the impending fiscal year. The economic growth is expected to be 6% in 2009-10 and inflation could go to negative levels in the first half of the year and then gradually limp back to positive WPI infaltion levels.

Sensex response with losses after RBI policy. The RBI today in its annual credit policy review has cut repo and reverse repo rates by 25 basis points. The central bank, however, has kept the CRR unchanged at 5%.
the index is now down 151 points at 10,828. Earlier in the day, the index opened with a negative gap of 214 points at 10,765, but recovered and touched a high of 10,926.

Jammu & Kashmir 6th Pay Order of SRO 93 & SRO 94

The Jammu and Kashmir Govt. orders to formally implement the recommendations of the 6th Pay Commission in Jammu and Kashmir. The Jammu and Kashmir Govt. Notification order of sro 93 and sro 94 (Jammu and Kashmir Pay Commission Notification {SRO 93, SRO 94 (I, II), SRO 95}).
The report is prepared as per the recommendation of Central sixth pay commission. The same pay band and grade pay concept is there. There are four pay bands and different grade pays starting from Rs 1300 to Rs 12000. There are four categories of CCA as per Grade Pay. Annual increment at the rate of 3%.

SRO 93 and SRO 94 were issued this evening to give effect to the revision of pay scales of government employees and pensioners.
The 100-page SROs were issued following clearance by the Election Commission as required by the Model Code of Conduct present in force in view of parliamentary polls.

The SROs take care of various pay anomalies and other issues. The employees leaders, including the president of the Non-Gazetted Civil Secretariat Employees Union, Nazir Ahmad Mir, and the Employees Joint Action Committee leaders, Muhammad Khursheed Alam and Abdul Qayoom Wani, have welcomed the step and thanked the chief minister, Omar Abdullah, for keeping his promise.
The revised pay structure of the employees would be made effective from July 1, 2009, with notional increments from January 1, 2006. The salaries for the month of July, 2009, will be drawn as per the revised pay structure.

Punjab Congress seeks implementation of Pay Commission recommendations immediately
The working president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Lal Singh today demanded the immediate implementation of the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission in the state.
He pointed out, the Chairman of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Campaign Committee, Capt Amarinder Singh has been demanding for a long time its implementation, but the state government was delaying it and hence denying its employees the crucial benefits.
In a statement issued here today, Singh observed, the state government seems to be deliberately delaying the implementation of the pay commission recommendations. He said, the government was just holding out the lollypop to the employees that the recommendations would be implemented after the elections.

The PCC working president pointed out, the Election Commission of India had already cleared the implementation of the pay commission recommendations. Now it was solely upto the state government to implement it. “Any delay in implementing the recommendations would simply mean that the state government was not sincere towards its own employees”, he remarked, while adding, it (the state government) can no longer take the refuge under the excuse that due to the imposition of the election code of conduct the recommendations cannot be implemented.

An excise or excise tax (sometimes called an excise duty) is a type of tax charged on goods produced within the country (as opposed to customs duties, charged on goods from outside the country). It is a tax on the production or sale of a good.Typically Excise duty is a tax levied on the producer of certain goods,
commodities and activities. It is a separate tax from VAT, and is different from it in that VAT solely affects the consumer.
The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex recovered from early losses on Tuesday on funds covering pending positions amid the government cutting excise duty. Typical examples of excise duties are taxes on tobacco, alcohol and gasoline.

While the excise duty has been reduced from 10 per cent to 8 per cent, the service tax rate has been reduced from 12 per cent to 10 per cent.
The decision to cut the excise duty and service tax was announced by External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, while replying to the debate on the Interim Budget in the Lok Sabha. A student has sent out a video of his 23-year old girlfriend doing a striptease for him, to some fellow students at the management school. This reportedly happened after the woman refused to marry him. The woman studies at the same institution. The story was first reported by Mid Day. It said the two students were probably classmates. The man, who apparently knew the password of the woman’s email ID, logged in to her mail and sent the video to some people on her contact list.

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee presented on Monday interim spending plans for the 2009/10 fiscal year from April to July, a stopgap measure to take care of essential spending during and in the immediate aftermath of general elections. Polls are due by May.

A secretly recorded video of megastar Chiran-jeevi giving directions to his party district coordinators to spy on leaders who have come in from other parties has embarrassed the Praja Rajyam to no end. The video, which has been posted in popular website YouTube, was recorded with a spy camera by a leader who took part in the core committee meeting. It was also circulated to a section of the press.
In the video, Chiranjeevi can be seen saying that many whom he considered close aides were passing on information to rivals. “These days we can’t believe anybody however big they may be,” he says in the video grab. “After all we are all human beings and have so many desires. So I want you to spy on the movements of politicians in our party.” The Praja Rajyam is red-faced that a meeting which was held to chalk out plans to snoop on leaders was itself spied upon. More so, since it has happened just two days after the party accused the government of tapping the cell phones of its leaders. The issue came out just days after this paper reported that party observers had been asked to spy on new entrants. Chiranjeevi’s directive has also given credence to criticism that Praja Rajyam is treating leaders who came in from the Congress and the Telugu Desam with derision and suspicion.
The party spokesperson, Mr P. Mitra, however defended the plans to spy on the activities of the party leaders. “There is nothing wrong in it,” he said. “We are keeping tabs on the politicians who came in from other parties only to keep the party corruption free.” This newspaper had reported the other day that the party had appointed district coordinators to spy on the movements of leaders. The Praja Rajyam top brass is also afraid that politicians from other parties may now think twice before crossing over.

Since Independence India's States were formed on the Basis of the Local Languages. Since 1976, The employment criteria of the Central Recruitment Board was divided into zones as per the General People of India. This division was based on the Local Language of the States.

Zone-A Bihar, Haryana, HP, MP, Rajasthan, UP, Andaman, Delhi formed the Hindi Speaking Zone.

Zone-B

Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab & Chandigad, the Non Hindi Speaking Zone.

Zone-C Southern India States like Kerala, Karnataka, etc. & North Eastern States like

Assam, Mizoram, Bengal etc.

The Central Employment Rule said that 'All Exams for Employments in the respective Zones shall

be Held in the Respective States Only.' So that the Local People may get the Jobs in their Home Town. Very Logical. For 30 Years everything was going Fine.

But since 1987, there was a Minor Change in the Rule 9 Part 9.2.2, for Zone -B Jobs. And this

was made a Rule since 1988. This change was that 'As an optional Language of employement, People of Zone-A can Apply for Jobs in Zone-B.' This opened up doors of Employement for All Zone-A aspirants in Zone-B areas. But with this Clause there was a Sub-Clause, stating ' The Notice of Jobs in Zone-B areas for Zone-A aspirants, May be given in Zone-A Areas only.' Because of this, Recruitment Notices for Jobs in aharashtra, etc. are Displayed Only in states like UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, etc. But these Notices are Seldom displayed in Newspapers of Maharashtra, etc. So this time, for the 3000 Railway Posts in Maharashtra, 12000 Aspirants came from Zone-A areas. The Result of this is that, the Un-employed of Maharashtra is Remaining Un-employed. Many Parties over these years Requested the Central Recruitment Board to Cancel this Clause. But this was Not done. The Result of this is, the Large Scale Beating Up and Rioting Today.

Anyone have statistics of how many marathi people appeared for the exam scheduled in Mumbai?

If later is true then MNS should file a PIL against railway ministry for deliberate attempt of decimation.
