About Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) (formerly The Indian Institute of Bankers), was established on 30th April 1928 as a professional body of Banks and Financial Institutions licensed under the provisions of Section 26 of the Indian Companies Act 1939. The initiative to establish the Institute was taken by eminent bankers, businessmen and leading industrialists of India.

Courses offered by the Institute include JAIIB /CAIIB examination, Diploma in Treasury and Risk Management, Diploma in Banking Technology, Diploma in International Banking & Finance, Diploma in Bank Financial Management, Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Advising and MBA (Banking & Finance). Various Certificate examinations are also offered by the Institute.
