yesterday interview process was halted for two hours as Assam Student Union is demanding for 100% recruitment of local youth. The BCPL authority ensured them that maximum priority will be given to the local youth. Please read assamtribune.com date-21st aug for further details.
Now these Assamese people must be very happy......... Once again they have shown that they can't achieve anything without reservations and for that they will do strikes, dharna pradarshan and join ULFA, instead they should study and compete with the civilized people.
The BCPL GET pattern of the interview, what kind of the interview will it be? I think personnel from GAIL will be taking the interview since GAIL has 70% stake in BCPL. In the local news paper at assam it was given that there are total 60 seats and in total 450 candidates are called for interview.

DIBRUGARH, Aug 14 – At the upcoming Assam Gas Cracker Project, being set up by the Brahmaputra Cracker & Polymer Limited (BCPL), engineers and general managerial posts are being created, but only a fraction of the jobs would be for locals of the North East. For a project that is a result of the Assam Accord following the six year long Assam Agitation, where 855 Assamese youths lost their lives during the six-year anti-foreigner agitation, this is bad news.
Final oral interviews to fill up the first batch of sixty engineering and HR executives will be held at the Brahmaputra Ashok Hotel at Guwahati from August 20 to 29. Against these sixty advertised vacancies, about 450 selected candidates have been called for the interviews. Of these, only about 40 are from the North East, the rest all being from outside the region. It is difficult to believe that the region's educated unemployed could have fared so badly in the written examinations, held at couple of months ago.
