The show is based on the United Kingdom BBC Television series Strictly Come Dancing and is part of BBC Worldwide's international Dancing with the Stars franchise.
Its seventh season is scheduled to begin around September 2008 as part of ABC's fall line-up,with the cast announced on the August 25, 2008 edition of Good Morning America.
