The explosions shook Adugodi, Madivala and Nayandahalli. Bomb disposal squads rushed to the sites. At least one killed, 31 injured. Explosives were hidden in places which are refugee prone and on roadside, says Bangalore Police Commissioner Shankar Bidri. The blasts took place at 1.30 pm in Nayandahalli, 1.50 pm in Madivala (2 blasts) and 2.10 pm in Adugodi.

Most women who rated their risk to be "low" were far more accurate than the men. "Clearly, holding optimistic perceptions of risk has its advantages for men," said Gramling, an assistant professor of Family Medicine and Community and Preventive Medicine.

The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board was initially set-up as Pre Medical Test Board by Government of Madhya Pradesh in the year 1970. Nice, very novel thoughts, Why I can’t get such thoughts, because, I struggle for 14 hours a day to get my bread and butter, and to fullfill my needs, and also thats the comman mans story, here. Rich are getting richer, poor are getting poorer.

I am not sure this comment is going to approve or not.

No doubt one has to struggle to get that level, There is no shortcut to Success. But do we have courage. Bill Gates when it comes to amassing wealth but why can’t they aspire to do even half of what Bill Gates does for charity? It’s easy to get rich but very difficult to have the guts to walk away from the riches and contribute so liberally to charity. How many Indians would be able to do that? And if one Big "B" is doing that, I think I too get enough time to envision to think.

Lok Sabha is composed of representatives of the people chosen by direct election on the basis of the adult suffrage. The Lok Sabha (alternatively titled, the House of the People, by the Constitution of India) is the lower house in the Parliament of India. The Lok Sabha also stands for the term of the lower house between consecutive parliamentary general elections in India. There have been 14 Lok Sabha terms elected by the people of India as of 2007. Members of the Lok Sabha are direct representatives of the people of India, having been directly elected by the electorate consisting of all eligible adult citizens of India. Its maximum size as outlined in the Constitution of India is 552 members, made up of up to 530 members representing people from the states of India, up to 20 members representing people from the Union Territories, and two members to represent the Anglo-Indian community if it does not have adequate representation in the house according to the President.

Each Lok Sabha is formed for a five year term, after which it is automatically dissolved, unless extended by a Proclamation of Emergency which may extend the term in one year increments. The 14th Lok Sabha was formed in May 2004 and will be in place till the next General Elections.

The University was established under the Thiruvalluvar University Act, 2002. (Tamil Nadu Act 32 of 2002) by the Government of Tamil Nadu on 16.10.2002, with an ambition and motto to empower the society with higher education.

The University is presently located in Vellore Fort, which is one of the monuments of the Vellore Town. The approximate circumference of the fort is 2600 meters. The fort is the perfect specimen of the Military Architecture in South India.

Karnataka Budget Speech 2008-09
Bangalore:
*Free Electricity for farmers from Aug 2008, 2050 crore sanctioned
*Senior Citizen to get RS 25 off on monthly bus pass
*Up to 8th Standards 7 lakh students to get free bicycles
*950 crore for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan
*Cyber centers at grampanchayat level
*Physically challenged to get RS 1000 monthly allowance
*Hubli to have international airport

Presenting the budget in the house, Mr Yeddyurappa also announced a one time benefit of Rs 1000 per family to 50 lakh small and marginal farmers who were dependent totally on dry farming due to failure of rains. He also announced that loans at three per cent interest would be given to farmers, fishermen and weavers. Sthree Shakthi Self Help Groups would get Six per cent interest subsidy on loans. A special Commission would be promoted for organic farming.

Explaining other highlights of the budget he said an Information Highway would be set up connecting Vidhana Soudha with the District and Taluk level offices during the year.

Karnataka Budget Highlights
1.The Budget of Government of Karnataka for 2008-09 with an outlay of
Rs.56542.15 crores from the State Consolidated fund has been
presented in Parliament. The Budget focuses on promoting “Growth
with Equity”.

2.The emphasis in 2008-09 budget will be on sustaining the economic
growth of the State while seeking to uplift the economically and
socially weaker sections.

3.In particular, the budget seeks to promote the development of human
capital in the State by enhanced investments in education, health and
social welfare. Further, the budget also seeks to initiate special steps to
improve the productivity of the agricultural sector and the economic
condition of the farmers.

4.The total outlay of Rs.56542.15 crores for 2008-09 represents an increase
of 12% over the budgeted outlay of the State for the year 2007-08 which
was Rs.50465.60 crore. The State’s annual plan for 2008-09 is to have an
outlay of Rs.21751 crores which reflects an increase of about 22% over
the 2007-08 annual plan outlay of Rs.17782.56 crores.

5.As required under the Karnataka Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2002 the
State’s budget for 2008-09 has a revenue surplus which is estimated at
Rs.2972.65 crores. This will maintain Karnataka’s record of a revenue
surplus financial position continuously since 2004-05.

6.As required under the Fiscal Responsibility Act, the Fiscal Deficit for
2008-09 will be within 3% of the State’s estimated GSDP (Gross State
Domestic Product) of Rs.244043 crores. Again Karnataka has
maintained a fiscal deficit of less than 3% of GSDP since 2004-05.

7. By maintaining the revenue surplus position and limiting the fiscal
deficit to less than 3% the State will continue to receive the benefits of
debt consolidation and wavier of central loans amounting to about
Rs.650 crores per year.

8.The Medium Term Fiscal Plan 2008-2012 presented with the budget
will be the guide for moving forward on the path of fiscal prudence
and sustainability.

9.The State’s GSDP is projected to grow at a real growth rate of 9%.
Inflation is assumed to remain at 4% during 2008-09.

In 1957, the Kerala University Act, Act 14 of 1957, was brought into force and the University of Travancore was renamed University of Kerala. The University had three campuses located in three different parts of the State viz. Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode. In 1968, the University Centre at Kozhikode became a full -fledged University covering the Colleges and Departments located in Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode and Kannur Districts of Kerala. The Cochin University of Science and Technology and the Kerala Agricultural University were set up in 1971 and in 1983, the Mahatma Gandhi University was established. With the establishment of these Universities, the area of the jurisdiction of the University of Kerala has been limited to Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha Districts and some parts of Pathanamthitta District.

The University’s Web site www.keralauniveristy.edu launched in January 2000, offers several services like downloadable application forms, question papers of past examinations, free resource links, subject gateway, etc,... The daily press releases and results of examinations are published on the site. The University also issues Degree Certificates with Hologram and over 112 security features.
