CATE is a centralized exam for students who wish to apply for English Hons in Delhi University.
Delhi University Results for the first ever Combined Aptitude Test for English (CATE) conducted by Delhi University (DU)

CATE test is applied to gate admission in following colleges,
Delhi College of Arts and Commerce,
Hindu college delhi,
Indraprastha college delhi,
Kamla Nehru college delhi,
Maharaja Agrasen college delhi,
Ram Lal Anand (evening) college delhi,
Satyaati (evening) college delhi,
Shivaji college delhi,
Shyam Lal college delhi,
Swami Shradhanad college delhi,
Zakir Hussain and
Zakir Hussain (evening) classes.

Multiple choice questions on language skills, literary knowledge, grammar and vocabulary were asked in CATE.

The Combined Aptitude Test for English (CATE) for admission to B.A English (Honours) at Delhi University (DU) was held at 12 centres across the city on June 17, 2009. Over 6,000 candidates appeared for the test held under the aegis of the English Department on behalf of 12 colleges.
